Zanzibar is the prototype of absolute beauty. This small tropical island off the East African coast is surrounded by an emerald-colored sea. One of its secrets is the Swahili culture: a fusion of Arabic, Persian, and Bantu influences, clearly visible in the local traditions and architecture. Bravo Kiwengwa is a pearl on the most beautiful stretch of coast: an 8 km shoreline of white sand, ideal for long walks. At low tide, you can walk out towards the coral reef, experiencing the unique sensation of walking on the sea. LOCATION AND STRUCTURE: Shorelines of fine white sand, tropical forests, crystal-clear sea, and seabeds with corals and fish of the most varied colors make the island of Zanzibar one of the most exclusive and appreciated destinations; this is where Bravo Kiwengwa is located. The resort is situated 40 minutes from Stone Town, on the east coast of the island, approximately 43 km from the airport. The transfer to and from the airport takes about 50 minutes. The resort is structured in blocks that house the rooms within an immense and meticulously tended tropical garden of colorful flowers that descends from the top of a gentle slope down to the beach. The reception and common services are instead located in a structure made of casuarina wood and makuti, the local fiber derived from the palm tree. BEACH AND SWIMMING POOLS: The resort is located on the most beautiful coast of the island: a white sand shoreline 8 km long and ranging (depending on the tide) from 20 to 200 m wide. The movement of the tides offers a constantly changing landscape, allowing you to walk for long stretches towards the coral reef to admire shells and small corals left by the sea (the use of rubber shoes is recommended). The property features a large swimming pool with a separate area for children. Sunbeds are available on the beach, in the shade of the palm trees, and at the pool; beach towels are provided upon deposit. RESTAURANTS AND BARS: The all-inclusive formula includes full board at the Ngalawa main buffet and grill restaurant, featuring Italian-trained chefs, a synonym for creativity and quality in the kitchen. Drinks included with meals: soft drinks, natural mineral water, local beer, and wine served by the glass. Adjacent to the main restaurant is the Garden pizzeria, opening at the Management's discretion, immersed in tropical greenery under the stars of Zanzibar, which offers, also within the all-inclusive formula, the possibility to enjoy an Italian menu upon reservation, featuring a cold cut appetizer, vegetables, a choice of pizza, and various desserts, also including drinks in this case. A lobster-based dinner can be enjoyed upon reservation for a fee. Located on the beach and near the pool is the Baobab Beach Cafè snack bar, restaurant, and pizzeria, with alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks at fixed times, where you can have a snack during the day; from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM, the restaurant pizzeria is open by reservation for an inviting buffet lunch or a tasty pizza cooked in a wood-fired oven. The bars serve coffee, soft drinks, and local beer by the glass, local wine, and national spirits until midnight (Nanga Bar). For a fee: espresso coffee, cappuccino, premium imported spirits, bottled drinks, and consumption before 10:00 AM and after midnight. ROOMS: The complex's 200 rooms feature private facilities with a shower, hairdryer, mini-fridge, air conditioning, and a terrace. The classic rooms (maximum 2 adults and 1 infant), recently modernized with a charming combination of ethnic and modern style, are located near the botanical garden. The comfort rooms (approximately 30 m2; maximum 3 adults) are elegantly furnished in typical Zanzibari style. Also available are some comfort family rooms (maximum 3 adults and 1 child) and, upon request, connecting rooms that accommodate 5 people (maximum 4 adults, 1 child, and 1 infant). The resort hosts international guests. SPORT AND MORE: Numerous sports activities are offered at the resort. Tennis court, beach volleyball, beach soccer, beach tennis, water aerobics, aerobics, bowls, table tennis. For a fee: tennis court lighting, kitesurfing (100 m from the resort, externally managed center whose opening is independent of Bravo).
