Departure by GT coach for the French COTE D'AZUR; along the way
of the Ligurian Rivieras a convenient stop will be made for breakfast
(optional) before reaching FRANCE immediately after the border of Ventimiglia
and stop in MENTON where in the morning (before the afternoon carnival course)
it will be possible to stroll through this lively center among the colorful Bioves gardens,
in the citrus collections of Palazzo Carnoles, at the Orchid Festival and al
Crafts Hall. Free lunch with countless for a whole afternoon
"special" at CARNIVAL of LEMONS. The party is along the avenues to the sea with
original masks, sumptuous costumes, percussion players, fanfares and majorettes a
zigzagging among the magnificent CITRUS WAGONS set up with human and unreal shapes,
allegorical and phantasmagorical rigorously made with lemons (and oranges)…..a
real show. A pleasant contact also with the seaside village from the narrow streets
narrow that lead to the small port which hosts not only the carnival festival
in the afternoon also the Orchid Festival (Palais de l'Europe) and the Salon
dell'Artigianato (center) as described above! At sunset, late
afternoon, departure for the return. During the motorway journey, one will be made
convenient stop for refreshment and optional refreshment (in the grill) with arrival
final in the evening.
